Welcome

PenaltyCharges was originally set up by Stephen Hone  in 2004/05  after he started the national campaign against bank charges. Stephen's aim was to provide consumers all the help, support and legal advice they needed to claim back their bank charges.

Now, due to the huge success of this site, Penaltycharges now offers FREE advice and information covering a very wide variety of different legal problems. We have step-by-step guides, template letter and copies of the legislation all ready for you to use, and the best part it’s all FREE.

It is our aim is to make you aware of your rights as a consumer, enabling you to fight back, against large corporations/local authorities that abuse their position. On the website's forum you will find a large selection of different categories that we offer advice on. Here is a very short example of some of those: Credit Agreements, Debt Collection Agencies, Holiday Companies, Bailiffs, Landlords & Tenants, Payment Protection Insurance, Traffic Offences, Utility Suppliers, Harassment, and of course both Bank Charges and Credit Card charges.

Penalty charges is an ever-expanding site, on the site you will find real people helping other people for FREE. Why? You might ask. Well the answer is simple, because these people really care about you, and most importantly because it is the right thing to do.
So Join to day, it is Free, and become a part of our community where advice and friendship is Free.

The Forum
The PenaltyCharges forum is run by a number of volunteers and me (Stephen Hone), who, first came to this site to reclaim their Penalty charges. These people have volunteered their time to help and support members, old and new, through their claims. You will see them on the forums as Admin and Moderators. Do not worry, you will soon get to know them and will be surprised how friendly and helpful they are. It is because of them that PenaltyCharges has become known as the site with the personal touch.
